Sacred Art Workshops teaches traditional and cosmically grounded arts to children, with a focus on the arts and crafts heritage of the Middle Eastern, Persian, and West African traditions. Budding artists learn classical art methods as well as the historical and sacred symbolism of these expressions.
Wajiha Khalil is a teaching artist and seeker of all things sacred. She has home schooled for several years, led art workshops for co-ops, and taught in several institutes around New York City. Her passion is to connect art with meaning, and instill feelings of awe and possibility in her students and inspire them to discover something new. She is also an adoption advocate, Arabic translator, and writer.
